Post Oak Savannah GCD was awarded a $200,000 grant in federal assistance from the Bureau of Reclamation to improve groundwater modeling capabilities in our local area that will be a significant tool in supporting management decisions. The Board also welcomed two new members as Mr. Keith Copeland and Mr. Kit Worley were sworn in as the newest Board Members. Mr. Worley replaces Dana McClaren, as the Board Member for Milam County representing agricultural interests. Dana served for two years on the Board and was a great addition to the POSGCD Board

At it’s May 10, 2022 Board Meeting the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) Board of Directors approved a contract with Texas A&M AgriLife for District Education Programs to improve the capacity of agricultural water users to conserve groundwater. At it’s April 12, 2022 Board Meeting the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) Board of Directors approved over one million dollars in Grants for six local water utilities. Each year, the District will encourage and support projects and programs to conserve and/or preserve groundwater, by annually funding the District’s Groundwater Conservation Grant Program.

Today the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) announced grants awarded to local Water Utilities in Burleson and Milam Counties. The District awarded five grants totaling approximately $1,000,000 for programs to conserve groundwater and has awarded approximately $14.55 million since 2006.
